팀 호모 폴리넬라는 시적이고 감각을 자극하는 미학으로 관객에게 몰입형 경헙적 작품을 선보이는 미디어작가 얄루가 주축이 되어 수중 미래형 인류의 서사를 다루는 프로젝트 성 팀이다. 사운드, 설치, 평면, 문학 등 다양한 분야의 작가들과 협업으로 관계성을 만들고 세계관을 확장해나간다. 음악가 예츠비와 협업으로 영상과 프로젝션, 사운드 작업이 주축이었던 지난 프로젝트에 이어 이번 작업은 글, 일러스트 작가 김훈예와 협업으로 호모 폴리넬라 세계관의 바탕이 되는 배경을 담은 책 "미끌미끌, 축축한."을 한,영 교차편집으로 하드커버, 소프트커버 두가지 버전으로 출간하였다.

아트센터 나비는 문화체육관광부 및 한국콘텐츠진흥원의 2022 콘텐츠 창의인재동반사업 우수 프로젝트 사업화지원의 일환으로 《Future Fantastic》을 개최합니다.
《Future Fantastic》은 아트센터 나비의 창작자 양성 프로젝트인 YKMA(Young Korean Media Artists)의 시작을 알리는 전시로, 우리나라의 미디어아트를 이끌어갈 신진 작가들의 도전적인 상상 아래 펼쳐질 미래를 조명합니다.
이번 전시의 주제인 'Future Fantastic'은 참여 작품 8개에서 발견한 공통의 키워드입니다. 지속적인 기후위기와 팬데믹 상황 속에서 예술가는 더 민감하게 위기를 인식하게 되었고, 이는 자연스럽게 예술가의 영감이 되어 우리가 직면한 위기를 직시하는 아포칼립스의 세계관을 형성합니다.

“Homo paulinella” is a project-based team presenting an underwater futuristic human narrative. The team is led by a media artist, “Yaloo” who creates immersive and experiential works for the audience with poetic and sensory aesthetics. She expands her worldview by collaborating and building relationships with artists in various fields, such as sound, installation art, and two-dimensional art. While the previous project was a collaborative work with a musician, “Yetusby,” incorporating video, projection, and sound, this project is a book in collaboration with a writer and an illustrator, Hounyeh Kim. The book’s title is “Slippery, Moist.” and it is written based on the Homo paulinella’s worldview. This book has been cross-edited in Korean and English and published in both hardcover and softcover versions.
