지오픽션스(Giofictions)는 얄루와 디자인 역사가이자 큐레이터인 자라 아르샤드와의 공동 연구 프로젝트입니다.
지오픽션스는 2019년 말 대만 가오슝에 있는 피어-2 아트센터(Pier-2 Art Center)에서 레지던시를 수여받았고, 인천예술문화재단에서 기금을 지원받았습니다. 하지만 코로나19의 대유행으로 인하여 레지던시 참여가 연기되며 인천문화재단으로부터 이를 대안할 작품 제작을 요청받아 [지오픽션스: 워크 인 프로그레스(Geofictions: Work in Progress)]라는 연구 출판물이 제작되었습니다.

Geofictions is a collaborative speculative research art studio project with design historian and curator Zara Arshad
In late 2019, Geofictions was awarded an artist residency by the Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, alongside funding by the Incheon Foundation for Arts & Culture, South Korea. Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, however, our participation in the Pier-2 Art Center’s 2020 programme had to be postponed, and so we were asked by Incheon Foundation to create an alternative outcome with our grant. The research publication shown here, called Geofictions: Work in Progress, is the product of this unexpected process.
Physical copies of Geofictions: Work in Progress are held by the following UK institutions: The British Library, and the libraries of University of Brighton, Royal College of Art, and Goldsmiths, University of London.
